Director, Global Operations : Performance Chemicals and Materials
How you will impact MWV:
We are looking for an experienced chemical operation leader to direct and manage the manufacturing and operational aspects of the Performance Chemicals or Carbon Business. You will interact with the businesses to ensure that operations are able to support the growth in the business while improving quality and costs. We want an engaged leader with strongenvisioning and executional skills that can broaden our world class manufacturing organization and exceptional culture focused on teamwork and results. You'll be accountable for providing your team a safe, productive and results driven environment by guiding the vision for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
? Provides leadership, general management and control of worldwide manufacturing operations.
? Continue to build on the culture focused on safety first and always.
? Ensure overall safety, health and environmental policies and procedures are well supported and executed in each facility. Work with each facility to investigate incidents
and work to mitigate risk.
? Build organizational competencies through active employee development and ensure all production teams have effective resources capable of meeting the demands of the business.
? Ensure overall quality policy and procedures are well supported and executed in each plant, including maintaining all quality certifications and drive improved customer satisfaction.
? Work with the engineering team to develop the capital budget, manage cash flow, and drive excellent project execution. Work with finance to develop economic justification for
all cost improvement and growth projects.
? Work collaboratively and cross:functionally with other key leaders to ensure execution of business and organizational goals.
? Actively champion continuous improvement and the use of lean and operational excellence (Six Sigma) tools.
? Drive year over year results in productivity and costs control.
? Recommend and implement appropriate enhancements to ensure the achievement of long term objectives.
What you need to succeed:
? Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or related field with 20 years of experience with multisite manufacturing management. Global or overseas experience highly preferred.
? Proven track record of delivering operational results and leading organizations through change.
? Ability to effectively operate and influence in global matrix organization.
? Ability to partner well with senior leaders, building effective teams and developing talent;
experience in successfully managing people and processes amidst a vast amount of change
? Willing to travel as much as 30 when required.
